Located on Glen Lyon Road, just down the road from Night Sky Cottages, is tiny Loch Cameron. The lake was once a ‘borrow pit’; a small hill excavated for earth material to use in the construction of the nearby Pukaki hydro canal. It's now a popular summer spot for Twizel locals & visitors to take a picnic & spend some time relaxing, swimming and fishing.
