One of the most anticipated times of the year in New Zealand’s South Island is the lupin flowering season. These colourful flowers put on a spectacular display, blooming along roadsides, riverbeds and the lakes around the Mackenzie District. The best time to catch the full flush is the last week of November & the first week of December. The lupins continue flowering well into January.
